BIDDING OPEN VACATION SLOTS 2012
The local chairman have been given the responsibility to assign full weeks of vacation’s that come open during the year. There is no agreement that this has to be done or even allowed by the carrier, so we assumed the responsibility and it will remain available to our members. All bids will be accepted from our web site only. This will allow us to assign the weeks on a timely basis regardless of where we may be.
Q: Which weeks are open? A: All bids and awards will be posted here each Tuesday as close to 6:00 A.M. as possible. Q: How do I bid on that week? A: Complete and submit form on the website. Q: When do bids close? A: All vacant weeks must show open on any given Monday, from the Monday the week is available it will run for 1 full week and close at 6:00 A.M. on the following Tuesday. If it is an open week that starts on the following Monday, it will be awarded on Sunday. You can only bid on vacation weeks in which your 2012 vacation is scheduled. .FULL WEEK VACATIONS
Always use Mondays for weeks you are bidding on. Look under vacation bulletins and make a note who currently owns that week. After they are awarded verify a Jr. employee did not get bid. . If the vacancy did not exist for a full 7 days it may not be awarded and you will have to re-bid the next week.
